This little book hopes to show that playing the clarinet can be fun, provided you do it the right way. In no way does it pretend to be a tutor, though I have touched on one or two basic aspects of playing which, to me, never seem to be clearly explained in any of the older popular methods. Of course, there ARE other ways to do most of the things I’ve mentioned, so here’s my first bit of advice: Keep an open mind. If your teacher says, “Harvey’s an idiot!”, for goodness sake agree with him, but when you get home practise it both ways and make up your OWN mind!
