English absurdist drama at its very best. If you want to enter a world where suburban couples end up having an Elephant delivered to their doorstep (they call it Oedipus), where speak-your-weight machines are trained to sing the Hallelujah chorus, where a father can simply fall off a cliff in Scarborough (while playing dominoes with his kids) and worry about his weight on the way down, if you love Milligan and the Pythons and love to see dramatic art thoroughly deconstructed (even to the point of ending a play by having a meeting of critics discussing it) then this is for you. “Lunacy” does not do justice to what Simpson does with the stage. A must have for anybody with a serious interest in comedy.
