Beskrivelse
Sir Arnold Bax (1883-1953), the composer, although born in a London suburb, was emotionally and artistically committed to Ireland. He spent a large part of his life there, and in the period before the Great War developed his alter-ego “Dermot O’Byrne” while in the far west. The poems, stories and plays he wrote and published then – of which this book is a selection – have not been easily available for over half a century.
