Very useful garden reference. First half of book is on the preparation and planning of a garden, common garden problems and pests, and a little more depth on various fruit and veggie care, as applied to certain familes of veggies. Oh, and some history on various fruits and veggies, if you’re into that whole “history” thing. Second half of book is taken up with one veggie per page, it’s particularities, and even a few scattered recipes on how to prepare and cook them. This is invaluable when you find yourself with a handful of leeks and no idea what you’re supposed to do to make them edible. Live and learn my friends!
