Beskrivelse
The basic premise of the story is orphan Isadora due to certain documentation believes she and her younger brother Mariano are actually connected by birth to the wealthy de Aransis family and so is really a Marquesa. She lives with her caring godfather accountant Jose and Laura and support by the family’s canon (uncle). Isadora is perpetually living beyond her means, worrying about her errant brother and pursuing the case. She fails in love but finds over the course of the story solace, love and money from various men. More than anything she’s the one abused by men and her cause. Will her final love or the kindly supposed(?) real grandmother redeem the societal and moral situation or not? …
