This is a detailed study presented in a user-friendly manner and supported by a generous collection of colour prints and reproductions of a selection of engravings. It is worth mentioning, of course, that the colour printing is pretty good and good enough to be completely functional as regards appreciating Turner’s art. This book represents good value for both the student and also the general admirer of Turner’s artistic output at this time.
